The daily tax

You think in Hindi.
You write in English.

Every sentence costs you twice. BolKe removes all of it.

🧠

The translation overhead

You form the idea in your language, then translate before your fingers hit the keyboard. Every sentence is double the cognitive work.

⌨️

The typing drag

Your words arrive far slower than your thoughts. English typing feels labored when it's not your first language.

🔁

The context switch

Google Translate tab. Copy. Paste. Tab back. Lose your train of thought. Three apps open just to write one paragraph.

How it works

Three seconds. Any app.

1

Press

Hit Ctrl+Shift+D from wherever you are — Slack thread, Word doc, email, notes app. No window switching. No clicking.

2

Speak

Say anything in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, or Bengali. At your natural pace.

3

Done

English text appears exactly at your cursor. Release, keep going.

Watch the full flow: press Ctrl+Shift+D → speak Hindi → English appears at your cursor ✓

Works everywhere

Not a browser extension. One global hotkey works in every app on your system.

Translate, not just transcribe

Speak Hindi. Get English. No other desktop dictation app does this.

Frequently asked

Common questions

What is BolKe?

BolKe is a desktop app for Windows (Mac in beta) that lets you speak in any Indian language — Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, or Bengali — and have clean, fluent English text appear at your cursor in any application. Press a global hotkey, speak naturally, and English appears in Slack, Word, Notion, Gmail, VS Code, or anywhere else you can type.

How does BolKe work on Windows?

Install the BolKe Windows desktop app, sign in, and press the global hotkey (Ctrl+Shift+D by default) from anywhere on your PC. Speak in your Indian language at a natural pace, release the hotkey, and within seconds clean English text is typed at your cursor — without copy-paste, without switching apps, without a translation tab.

Does BolKe work on Mac?

Yes, BolKe has a macOS build in private beta. Because we are pre-Apple Developer Notarization, Mac users currently complete a one-time terminal setup step after install. Join the waitlist and select "Mac" to request early access.

Which Indian languages does BolKe support?

BolKe supports Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, and Bengali at launch. It is built on Sarvam AI Saaras v3, which covers all 22 official Indian languages — Gujarati, Malayalam, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese, Urdu and others are on the public roadmap.

How is BolKe different from Wispr Flow?

Wispr Flow is excellent for English-first voice typing but is not built for Indian languages or accents. BolKe is built specifically for Indian language speakers: it translates as it transcribes (speak Hindi, get English — not just Hindi transcribed in Devanagari), uses a speech model trained on Indian languages and accents, and is priced in INR.

How is BolKe different from Windows built-in dictation?

Windows Speech Recognition and Voice Access only transcribe — they cannot speak-in-Hindi-write-in-English. BolKe combines speech recognition trained on Indian accents with translation, so a single hotkey turns spoken Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, or Bengali into fluent English text in any app.

Is BolKe free?

BolKe has a free tier with 15 minutes of voice typing per month, no credit card required. Paid plans for heavier use are coming during the beta — early waitlist users will get priority pricing.

What apps does BolKe work with?

BolKe is a system-wide desktop app, not a browser extension. It works in any application that accepts text input — Slack, Microsoft Word, Notion, Gmail, Google Docs, Outlook, VS Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, Claude, WhatsApp Web, LinkedIn, and any other Windows or Mac app where your cursor can type.

Does BolKe store my voice recordings?

BolKe sends audio to a transcription service for processing and does not retain recordings after the transcription is returned. See the BolKe privacy policy for the full data handling details.

How accurate is BolKe with Indian accents?

BolKe is powered by Sarvam AI Saaras v3, an Indic speech recognition model that benchmarks above Google Speech-to-Text, OpenAI Whisper, and Deepgram on Indian language word error rate. Accuracy is highest for clear speech in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Marathi, and Bengali.
