What we collect
When you create an account and use BolKe, we collect:
- Your Google account email address — received when you sign in with Google and stored in our database (hosted in Mumbai, India)
- Your audio recordings — sent to Sarvam AI for speech-to-text processing
- Your usage data — duration of each transcription, language selected, and mode used
- Your language and output preferences — stored locally in your browser via the Chrome extension
How we use it
- Email — to authenticate you (via Google sign-in) and manage your account
- Audio — sent to Sarvam AI solely for transcription; we do not store your audio after processing
- Usage data — to enforce your monthly free-tier limit and display your usage meter
- Preferences — to remember your language and output mode between sessions
Third-party services
- Supabase (Mumbai, ap-south-1) — authentication and usage database
- Sarvam AI (India) — speech-to-text and translation engine
- Railway (Singapore, ap-southeast-1) — API server hosting
No third-party analytics, tracking scripts, or advertising SDKs are used.
What we do not do
- We do not store your audio recordings after transcription is complete.
- We do not sell or share your data with third parties beyond the services listed above.
- We do not use your email for advertising or promotional campaigns.
- We do not read or access your Google Docs content — the extension only inserts text at your cursor.
Data storage & security
- Your authentication session token is stored in
chrome.storage.local on your device. - Account data and usage logs are stored in a Supabase PostgreSQL database with row-level security.
- All communication between the extension, our server, and third-party services uses HTTPS.
Your rights
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing
hello@bolke.in. We will process your request within 7 days.
